Care work UK - Training
Training from agencies is interesting and rewarding. It is also free of charge, although you won’t be paid for that time. However some agencies will pay you for the travelling costs. Beware as some agencies might charge for this training, so make sure you make the right selection before agreeing to go for training!
It is now a legal requirement that 50% of the carers of each agency would have the NVQ2 (National Vocational Qualifications) qualification. If you intend to work for more than a year, it is important you invest in this. You can earn this qualification whilst working with your client! Unlike the other initial training, you will be charged for this and will be deducted from your salaries.

NOTE After you complete your training, It is very important that you will keep your new UK mobile phone ON all the time and that you are available to answer it, as a call for a work assignment can come any time and if the agency cannot contact you, the job may be passed on to other carers…
